I had forgotten how nice it is to be home. Though I think Mum is just happy to have someone else cooking the food around here. I have been taking advantage of being at home in my own kitchen and baking up a storm. It has been nice being able to spend my days baking and reading and studying, at least a little bit. I'm going to miss my kitchen very much when I have to head back to school.

How is everybody else enjoying the break?

Did everyone survive exams? I know I am ready to fall asleep for the next few weeks.

I guess the next big thing on the agenda is the Yule Ball. How many people are actually planning to attend the ball? I am hoping that such a big event will draw some people away from the library because I am hoping I can get a few hours of studying in before we leave for break.

Who here is looking forward to the upcoming break? I for one am looking forward to going home and seeing my mother. I've already started working on some new recipes to make for her when I'm home. If any person or persons would like to be taste testers for me and willing to try out some of my new dishes, it would be most helpful.

Stary Durm tomorrow, thankfully. I'm in desperate need of some new Quills. Plus it will give me time to start my holiday shopping.

Great game yesterday, Marchenko! I was glad I was able to watch, you all played very well.

I feel like I've been so into my studies and nothing else lately because potions is horrible. How has everybody been doing?

I hope whomever decided this charm would be funny knows that when you are caught, and I you will be caught, there will be a lot of detentions in your future. I miss people not being able to see how I feel.

I believe I'm going to head to the library and hide, see if I can find anything about this charm.

I hope they get this dorm renovations thing fixed soon. This morning I would up to a third year curled against my leg. It was very awkward for the both of us when he woke up. At least the Stolypin floors are somewhat comfortable.

Also, is it me or does this costume ball seem like an overrated idea? I mean getting dressed up and dancing? There are so much better ways to spend a night like studying.

I just want to wish Marchenko good luck tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to go and cheer in person, but I am rooting for you all.

On a different subject, has anyone seen a fluffy cat wandering around. Mine seems to have wandered off again.

This black out is very inconvenient, I had planned to work of my potions homework tonight in hopes that I actually understand it this time, but without any light, it makes it a bit difficult to read.

I'm sure the professors are working hard to fix the problem, after all, they can't expect us to spend the rest of the school year studying in the dark. I don't think that would be very productive.
